This 23rd edition of the conference will take place on the 9th and 10th of October 2025 at the campus of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in Bellaterra, just outside the city of Barcelona. The conference is organised by the Centre d’Estudis Demogràfics (CED-CERCA).The Divorce Conference is an initiative of the European Network for the Sociological and Demographic Study of Divorce. The conference aims to cover research addressing any aspect of union dissolution, including its causes, processes, and consequences for women, men and children. Topics may include, but are not limited to, the dynamics of separation and divorce across countries, the socio-economic and health consequences for different demographic groups, the role of living arrangements post-separation, and the intersections of gender and family complexity. We encourage theoretical and empirical contributions from psychological, sociological, demographic, economic, and interdisciplinary perspectives.Below you find the Call for Papers, and more information will be added to this website in the future.
