Xiana Bueno-Garcia is a sociologist and holds a PhD in Demography from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She is a Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellow for the period 2016-2019 at the Centre d’Estudis Demogràfics and Harvard University. Her research has examined family formation processes and international migration in Spain. Currently, her research is focused on studying family and fertility patterns in postindustrial societies and the role of gender egalitarian attitudes and behaviors, labor-market conditions, and family policies in family formation decisions. She has been affiliated to the Center for Demographic Studies (CED) in Barcelona since 2010, and she is a member of the Group for Demographic and Migration Studies (GEDEM) since 2006. She was a postdoc fellow at Department of Sociology at Harvard University between 2014 and 2018.
