Octavio Nicolas Bramajo has earned a B.Sc. in Sociology (Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina) and afterwards completed a Postgraduate Specialization Diploma and a M.Sc. in Social Demography (Universidad Nacional de Luján, Argentina). Before joining CED, he took part in the European Doctoral School of Demography (EDSD) in the 2019-2020, sponsored by the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR), earning a second M.A in Demography from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). While his interests are diverse, most of them are shaped by his previous experience in the National Administration for Social Security of Argentina: Mortality, Morbidity, Ageing, Pension Systems, Social Inequalities in Health and Social Epidemiology. Currently he is enrolled in the Doctorate program in Demography in the UAB (Dissertation: “New perspectives on health inequalities in Spain”), analyzing heterogeneities and disparities of non-fatal diseases prevalence across Spain, supervised by Iñaki Permanyer.
