Margherita Odasso is a sociologist interested in international migration, family dynamics and (mental) health. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Bologna and an M.A. in Sociology and Social Research from the University of Trento. Her PhD focuses on transnational families: she studies distance fathering and the physical and mental health consequences for transnational fathers living apart from their children. Before joining CED, Margherita worked for the University of Trento on the Horizon project ReIncluGen. She was also a Research Fellow for SMU Tower Center in Dallas, where she conducted interviews with Mexican migrant fathers living in Texas
