The Centre for Demographic Studies jointly organises with the Department of Geography at the Autonomous University of Barcelona the only programmes in Spain wholly devoted to training in Demography and Population Studies.

The aims of the Centre for Demographic Studies (CED) are that students should:
acquire sound, high-quality training in Demography
join a research project and set out on a research career
participate in academic life at the CED
gain international experience in their training and research careers
have a space for working at the CED

- Atlas.ti qualitative analysis
- Use of free software (R, GeoDa, QGIS) and classical statistical packages
Thanks to its transversal nature, demography equips you with tools to analyse, interpret and explain the world.
The CED works actively to obtain pre-doctoral grants for all its candidates, whether they are for research staff training from the Generalitat de Catalunya (Government of Catalonia), the Spanish government, or grants associated with internal CED or other research projects.
