OPEN SCIENCE AT THE CED

OPEN SCIENCE AT THE CED

Open Science is understood as a paradigm for transforming the research system that promotes collaborative work, the opening of scientific processes and the systematic sharing of knowledge, data, methodologies and results in the earliest possible phases. This approach contributes to increasing the efficiency, reliability and reuse of research, while reinforcing its democratic dimension through the active participation of different social agents. In this sense, Open Science is not limited to open access to publications, but implies a comprehensive opening of the scientific process, including data management, methodological transparency, scientific communication and the involvement of society in the generation of knowledge.

The Center for Demographic Studies (CED), as a research center integrated into the CERCA Institution and a relevant actor within the Catalan, national and European research system, assumes Open Science as a strategic and structural axis of its scientific model. Within this framework, the CED is committed to developing research of excellence based on transparency, quality, integrity and social responsibility, aligned with international standards and public policies on research, innovation and impact.
