Poverty, Childhood and Families

Description

Researchers in the Poverty, Childhood and Families research line are experts in the measurement and analysis of poverty, standard of living and family dynamics. We are a multidisciplinary group that brings together perspectives from social policy, sociology, demography and economics, and displays an international profile with projects in Europe, the Pacific and Africa. Our aims include to improve poverty measures as applied in practice, to contribute both to national and international debates on fighting poverty and child wellbeing, and to illuminate the interactions between poverty, households, market and state and that in particular for their impact in the early stages of the life course.
