Huifen Fang has an educational background in human geography and urban planning.
She is currently a PhD candidate in Demography at the Centre d’Estudis Demogrà fics
(CED), working on the ERC-funded Project CORESIDENCE. Her research examines
transformations in households and living arrangements from a comparative perspective,
drawing on evidence across different geographic scales, such as the global, cross-
national, and subnational. She works with a range of data sources, including IPUMS
international microdata, survey data, register data, and regional statistics. Her broader
interests extend to fertility, housing, and urbanization, and how these processes relate to
family change.
