Patricia Iglesias is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre d'Estudis Demogràfics, where she investigates young people's preferences toward homeownership in Europe in the frame of the DECIPHE project. She holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences and a Research Master's in Sociology and Demography from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Universidad de Chile.
During her doctoral studies, Patricia contributed to the ERC-funded WEB DATA OPP project, focusing on the feasibility and opportunities of collecting visual data through online surveys. Prior to that, she worked at the Chilean Office of Statistics, leading the update of the National Labor Survey questionnaire and overseeing the transition of the data collection process from paper-based to computer-assisted methods.
Her research interests center on enhancing data production through surveys by integrating experimental designs and incorporating novel data types alongside traditional survey questions.
