My research lies in the areas of demography, health, international development, social policy and social statistics. I apply a wide range of quantitative methods to study topics related to fertility and family change, child health and sexual and reproductive health, as well as how social policies influence these outcomes. My latest research focuses on the variation and gender differences in transition to adulthood, the relationship between socioeconomic inequality and population dynamics, and the consequences of policy changes on health and families in Latin America, Africa and Asia. My work has been published in journals such as Population and Development Review, BMJ Global Health, and Studies in Family Planning. I received my PhD from London School of Economics and Political Science in 2018, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania from 2018 to 2020 and since 2021 I have been a guest researcher at Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research
