I am a sociologist and demographer, currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre d'Estudis Demogràfics (CED) at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in Spain. My research focuses on the connections between gender, work, and family, with a particular interest in sub-Saharan Africa. I explore questions surrounding family formation and composition—who forms families, when, and how—as well as dynamics within families, such as couple-level time use. Additionally, I am interested in studying how gendered family expectations shape individual social demographic behaviors, including fertility and migration. Throughout my work, I want to deepen our understanding of the intricate interplay between gender, family, and society.
