Pablo Gracia is Research Professor of Sociology at Autonomous University of Barcelona, Principal Investigator at the Centre for Demographic Studies (CED) and Fellow of the Einstein Centre Population Diversity in Berlin. He leads a research team that examines how families, inequalities, and well-being intersect in society. His current research addresses three core questions: (1) how social inequalities influence child development; (2) how social media and digital use affect youth well-being; and (3) how gender inequalities shape mental health and time-use patterns. Prof. Gracia has secured over €3 million in competitive funding as Principal Investigator, including support from the European Research Council (ERC Consolidator Grant) and Horizon Europe. He has published around 50 scientific works in peer-reviewed journals and academic presses, many appearing in leading international outlets. Prof. Gracia is Associate Editor of European Societies and Coordinator of the Working Group on Child and Adolescent Development from the European Association of Population Studies. Prior to joining CED/UAB, he was Professor in Sociology at Trinity College Dublin and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam and European University Institute. He has been a Visiting Professor and Fellow at multiple prestigious academic institutions, including the University of Oxford, New York University, University College London and INED, Paris.
