Maria is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Demography at the CED/UAB, within the ERC project “Intergenerational Coresidence in Global Perspective (CORESIDENCE)”. Before joining the CED, Maria obtained a B.Sc. in Business Administration (Econ. Option) from California State University, East Bay. Afterwards, she obtained a M.Sc. in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy from the University of Economics and Business Vienna and a M.Sc. in Population Studies from the University of Groningen. She participated in the European Doctoral School of Demography from 2022-2023, sponsored by the CED. She is interested in research on family formation, intergenerational processes, fertility, and social inequalities.
