Carlos holds a degree in Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid, where he also completed a Master's degree in Sociology Applied to Social Problems. His interests are focused on urban studies, specifically on issues of residential mobility, segregation and socio-spatial transformations. She has worked on these lines of research both in her Master's Thesis, where she studied the process of gentrification in the Madrid district of Tetuán, and in her work and training experience in the COMURES-CM project. In 2023, he began his doctoral studies at the Centre d'Estudis Demogràfics (CED) as Junior Researcher (Pre-doctoral research fellowship for the training of research staff), developing in his thesis research related to the processes of gentrification.
