While traditional demography has focused primarily on issues related to fertility and marriage, other forms of partnerships and singlehood have often been studied in other disciplines, even as they dominate public and policy debates on family life. This course provides a holistic population perspective on union formation and singlehood, integrating demographic and sociological theories, empirical evidence, and critical review of methodological challenges and opportunities. Students will learn to analyze patterns of partnerships and singlehood, interpret trends over time and across contexts, and understand how these personal behaviors shape and are shaped by broader social changes, fostering a critical understanding of family and population change.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","seasons":[4666],"class_list":["post-53740","bcn4seasons","type-bcn4seasons","status-publish","hentry","seasons-autumn"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/ced.cat\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/bcn4seasons\/53740","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/ced.cat\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/bcn4seasons"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/ced.cat\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/bcn4seasons"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/ced.cat\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=53740"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"seasons","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ced.cat\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/seasons?post=53740"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
