Gonzalo Daniel Garcia has earned a B.Sc. in Economics (Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina)  and afterward completed a Postgraduate Specialization Diploma in Social Anthropology (FLACSO, Argentina), and an M.A. in Social Policy, Employment, and Welfare from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Before joining CED, he took part in the European Doctoral School of Demography (EDSD) in the 2020-2021 cohort, sponsored by the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR), earning an M.A in Demography from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). While his interests are diverse, he is mostly interested in migration and urbanization. Also, since his past professional career was related to Data Science, he is also interested in the use of new data sources available to understand Demographic problems. Currently, he is enrolled in the Doctorate program in Demography in the UAB, analyzing residence patterns of high-skilled migrants in Barcelona, supervised by Antonio López-Gay.
